Reading break for us (Kandice and I) has been good so far. As indicated in the previous post we celebrated Valentine's day yesterday. It was certainly nice to relax and agree to not care about our restaurant bill. However, reading break isn't all leisurely. Both Kandice and I are working (Starbucks and the Gap--what trendy jobs we have!). Also I am having to catch up on the reading I swept to the side in favor of more pertinent things. So, since I am not able to read exactly what I'd like I thought I'd create a reading list for all of you interested in the blogosphere. Here it goes: The Spectator Bird, Wallace Stegner; Calvin in Context, David Steinmetz; The Collected Poems, Richard Wilbur; some books by Francois Mauriac and some by Andre Dubus. That'll do.

My First Experience in the Blogosphere

Hey one and all,
Being as our schedule always seems jam packed and above the brim, and our friends and family are many, Bryan and I thought a blog would work wonders to help people stay connected to our what/whereabouts. Hmmm...well today was our Valentine's day so we drove to commercial drive and ate at a 'swanky' Italian restaurant. Then came home and Bryan read a short story to me, he's so great isn't he, then we watched 24. This is Bryan's reading break so he's able to take a deep breath and maybe even read something that isn't required of him. Another benefiit of the reading break is that I get to see him more (one of the drawbacks of his doing a Masters is that he often makes a hermit of himself). Hmmm...well, I think we're gonna watch Jesus Camp tomorrow. We might update the blog and let you know what we think.
